Georgia’s ruling party has withdrawn a draft ”foreign agent” bill from parliament after two nights of protests against the proposal, whose critics say marked a slide into Russia-style repression.

In a statement on Thursday Georgian Dream, the party controlled by Bidzina Ivanishvili, a reclusive billionaire, and its coalition partner said they would withdraw the bill “unconditionally” after the public outcry.

Thousands of protesters took to the streets of the capital Tbilisi on Tuesday and Wednesday waving EU, Ukrainian and American flags in what was reminiscent of pro-EU demonstrations in Ukraine before Moscow’s annexation of Crimea in 2014. Demonstrators chanted “No to Russian law’', “Never going back to the USSR”, “Georgia belongs to Europe” and “Slava Ukraini” (Glory to Ukraine).

I saw a good report that US doesn't think it's smart for Ua to get sucked into a war of attrition with the Orcs - that's where they excel.

Suggesting that Ua needs to focus on Mobile Strategy using the high tech equipment from US/NATO - saying Ua can't afford the casualty rates in a grind with Ru convicts

Trouble is as John Bolton says the US help is good but it's been a day late and a dollar short

Dunno - up to now it looks as Ua has got the tactics spot on

Interesting one really. UA seem to be 'holding' the fight for a long time now. Russians making small gains at a high price. Probably 2 orcs killed per 1 UA or even 3 to 1. It may be worth it to some extent in this case. Eventually UA will have to withdraw if Russia keep pouring in cannon fodder.

Could be as high as 4 or 5 to 1 but the Ukrainians are walking a tight rope. Saw something yesterday where 59 Russisns were taken out by Artillery crossing open ground, they will send another 59 tomorrow and the day after till that open ground is taken.

Preparing the equipment and Brigades for end of April/May while trying to limit the Russians around Bakhmut. There is little chance of them punching a hole in the Russians there so a pull back is inevitable if not foolhardy.
