Watched the Sparks Brothers yesterday, I like some of their stuff already so I had an interest & I enjoyed it. Good documentary film with some mad music 9/10 for me. Also watched The ZZ Top documentary on Netflix … I enjoyed that too and it showcased some of their earlier Shuffle in C "blues" stuff 9/10 as well.
Sad to see Dusty on it now and Mike Beard's response to what he spent $72K on was class.

That was a farewell to Arms I think. "In love and war" it was none as.
According to the Ken Burns documentary Ernest bullshitted all about his time in world war 1. He was an ambulance driver that got injured in his first week or something and ended up in hospital for ages. Never saw any combat.
He also bullshited about being on the poverty line as a writer in Paris for years when in fact his wife was a very rich heiress.

to be honest the only Hemingway work I finished was a "a movable feast"
I started Old Man and the Sea and The Sun Also Rises and couldn't finish them.
Too boring with a humourless and dry writing style.

I reckon i could write a book 1 million times more entertaining than Hemingway tbphwy

"For Whom The Bell Tolls" is a decent enough read. OMATS is boring I agree. I haven't read TSAR.

Great cinematography. The scene where he runs out and across the trenches was incredible.

Just watched half of the directors cut of Doctor Sleep, 3hrs is too long for one sitting on a school night. So far, I'd give it 4/5 I like'd the Shinning nostalgia

Just finished it, I was delighted they went back to the hotel, pity Jack Nicholson didn't do a cameo there.

Overall, I'd give it a solid 7/10

Nicolas Cage has been cast as Count Dracula in the upcoming movie Renfield about the vampire's famous bug-eating protege. This will certainly be the worst cu*ting movie ever
