I saw Broadcast in Glasgow a few months back and was hugely dissapointed. Half the set was nonsense. Hopefully they revert to form at festivals.

Ariel Pink are very good live. They can't quite recreate the magic of the studio production, but they make a fine attempt!

I'm not familiar with most of the rest.

They've changed the early bird ticket system this year. The first 1000 tickets are @ 99 yo-yo's, no info thereafter. Last year though you could early bird tickets up to January for around 90-95 yo-yo's.

Primavera is all fine and well but my god, they book an awful lot of myspace bollocks that doesnt ever make it threw a year in the music industry...lots of bands that look like they all shop at the same store, turning out the same sound.
They seem to take the occasional winner who climbs the rangs but thats it.
I think the big seller for them is the headliners and the fact its in Barcelona and there is a good chance it will be sunny.
If you started a band now, got some trendy synths and clothes, a decent following on myspace..chances are you´d be booked by primavera in 2 years or so.

Complete bollox. You've either never looked at the line up, or haven't a clue what you're talking about.

The Pitchfork stage hosts a lot of bands du jour, some make it beyond their first album or two, some don't. That's the way it goes with new bands.

Yes, hence why I wrote "They seem to take the occasional winner who climbs the rangs but thats it."

It looks like a lot of cheap same same bands who more than likely play for free and they then use their budget to book the big huge names.
Dont get me wrong, its a fine festival but way to much myspace bullshit and i´ll stick to what I said about anybody getting booked there in two years if they followng suit.

Stop saying rangs, it's not a word.

Almost every band in the world is on Myspace. Just because you haven't heard of them doesn't mean they aren't in demand.

Anyway, whatever, don't go. Yay!
