Old Cork Photos

Gid that brings back memories of going into Norwich to insure my bike. The sourest bitch in Cork worked at the counter there. In all my years I never once saw her smile.
Speaking of motor insurance companies..remember when PMPA were based in some shack off Douglas Street?
Remember insuring my first car there early 1980s...240pounds ...just one of those things u remember...1973 ford escort 🤔

I remember PMPA even had a repair garage down there too - where the old Tax Office was I think.

I used drive a company car which the PMPA repaired themselves in the garage. Car was subsequently involved in a minor crash subsequently and repaired elsewhere and the guy in the second garage noticed that despite the second crash on the right hand wing it was still longer wheel centre to wheel centre than the left hand side. PMPA hadn't properly straightened the chassis when they "repaired" it.
