Whatever happened to Bass Beer? I remember that sign as a kid. Was another one above where Porters was. Maybe around 1980 or 81.

And the small Roches Stores shop too with the toys upstairs and down behind it was that little cake restaurant. I can still remember the smell of the restuarant and the clicking of the spoons and knives.

You’d take out a new box of fags, strip off the plastic, pull out the foil and fire it all out the window of the car (like it would magically disappear ).
