When I used partake it was my tipple
Lovely,
best of the the stouts and if drank in moderation ( 3/4)really enjoyable but the feckin hangover it gave if you went over your quota simply wasn’t worth it

I loved it especially the smell from Beamish and Crawford
On occasion you’d see rats staggering around S Main st / Washington st around the times the smell was more pungent so they were accessing some Beamish along the way somehow
Saw this several times in the 70s

I used to like the smell of malt and hops.
The strongest I ever experienced was near St James Gate in Dublin at the original Guinness brewery.
Wonderful aroma.
