Coming from Glasheen a little bit prior to turning off just before Barrack St?
Bus looks too modern for early 70s, says 5A and Tivoli which wasn't the no.10 route.

That looks like the bus stop at the junction of Glasheen Rd and Magazine Rd.

The pub reminds me of the sportsman's on Bandon road, was/is there a pub at that junction?

Bus looks too modern for early 70s, says 5A and Tivoli which wasn't the no.10 route.

That bus was soon transferred up to Dublin and it was in a sorry state when it got there, that route destination blind would barely move on it.

Those Leyland engined buses were built by CIE in Inchicore works and were introduced into the fleet in 1968.

They were later replaced by Vanhool / Mc Ardle ones which were introduced in 1978.

I thought a lot of you would have recognised the pub in the background, Cissie Youngs.
Yes you are on the ball, it is Bandon Road and it was indeed operating the number 10 which originated back then at Roger Casement Park and went down to Skehard Road.

That looks like the bus stop at the junction of Glasheen Rd and Magazine Rd.

And coming from Magazine Road as the bus has Tivoli on front... would that have been the no 11 rather than no 5 ?
