Looking at a few of Scullion's Strava scores, he is training really well - some real quality sessions at altitude - in the heat too.

He's such an off-the-wall character, he might figure in the race. Not to win a medal or high placing but maybe involved in a push at some stage. The Olympic marathon is always run slowly, (2:09 gets you a medal at any previous Olympics) with a fiierce injection of pace at some point to split the field. Humidity and temperature will be very high. Hopefully he can race to potential.
