New York City Hotels Any Recomendations !

Im thinking of going to New York in Sept with herself can anyone recommend a decent Hotel close to shopping sightseeing etc.

Im willing to pay for a decent place as dont want to end up in a wardrobe like room.

Check out the Affinia Manhatten Hotel.

It by Madison Square Gardens so its smack bang in the middle of things. Stayed there a few years ago. The room was a fine size and even had a kitchenette if you wanted to cook.

Staff were great too.

Depends on your budget really. Hotels in NY can be dear enough.

I'd say if its your first time there, Midtown is probably the best place. I stayed in this place:

Rooms are really nice but they're very small.

Check out Radio City Apartments, it is a hotel in the style of an apartment. Location is great for sightseeing, near Times Square but most importantly it is near four subway stations so you can get on any line easily.

If you want a jumpin spot try the W Hotel Times Square. We've stayed there a few times, but I've seen quite a few negative comments about the place. Not cheap.

The Fitzpatrick Hotels in Manhattan would be my choice...book them well in advance so you wont be fleeced tho.
