I've often seen City Council Parks Department vehicles working in suburbs which are in the county council jurisdiction.
Some of these employees are "doing foxers," while using city council vehicles and equipment

I seem to recall a council road crew spotting a pot hole in the road coming back from a job and getting out to repair it only to be told on return to base that they were suspended for the manner in which they carried out the extra work. Wasters were they?
