Michael D Higgins uses ATM in Winthrop st Cork

Amazing scenes, I always liked MDH, having lived in Galway for some time, I would have had crossed paths with him on a number of occasions. Never understood the haters tbphwy, top lad and mad for banter too.

Even President Higgins has to trek to the ATM for cash every now and then

The president stopped off at an ATM in Cork to get some cash on a recent visit.

He’s just one of us, really. And even HE gets caught short of cash every so often.
President Higgins was spotted taking out money at an ATM on Winthrop Street during his recent visit to Cork

…and we bet he was praying they had a few tenners to dispense.The President and his wife Sabina were in town yesterday to visit the headquarters and training centre of the Irish Guide dogs for the blind to mark their 40th year.
Maybe he wanted to buy them some treats and the shop wouldn’t take card?
It’s not the first time he’s been spotted using an ATM, like a damn commoner
