The UK is forecasted to have a decade with where living standards are abysmal in comparison to what they should be, with a really shockingly bad 2 year period, dropping standards to what they were 12 years ago. Covid is a mere blip on this chart.
Funnily enough, this is great news for labour, the further down that curve they take over, the more they benefit from being seen as the drivers of the rise in standards.

It's 62% between £100k and £125k.

At least, in theory it is. If you have children in childcare it's significantly higher because you lose childcare tax credits at that level too, so going from £99k to £100k in a year costs you approximately £3k if you've got a child in childcare. So from £100k-£105k, marginal tax rate is above 100%.

Will save the government a lot of money to stick another million or so people into that situation...

Switzerland are in permanent negotiation with the E.U. while having very close ties with the E.U.

Britain still thinks that it is the 1870's and the whole planet should cow tow to them and their daft Brexit but the harsh reality is that their Brexit has imploded, there are no "Brexit benefits" after all as they have placed economic sanctions upon themselves.

The Swiss model/Norwegian model suggestions were all bullshit and bluster, as these would mean the UK would have to respect freedom of movement.

And freedom of movement (or rather, the idea they had too many foreigners in their country) was one of the reasons, if not THE reason for Brexit in the first place...
