Thats it in a nutshell.
People aren't stupid. They can see that economic migrants are simply bypassing Irish visa requirements by taking advantage of our woefully inadequate asylum seeking process.
Our government's completely inept on this matter. Instead of grasping the thorny issue of toughening up our hopelessly lax immigration controls theyve instead demonised communities that dont want scores of unvetted asylum seekers dumped in their towns and villages.
This is already having the depressingly predictable strain on societal cohesion and services. Ably abetted by extreme left wing politians and NGOs.
