Long story short the government is in a torpor , unable or unwilling to put forward a proper immigration policy.


McEntee is the worst minister for Justice in twenty, thirty years. Harris as her stand in has to be one of the worst ministers in the history of the state. One nepo baby and an ill qualified simpleton.

Our border controls needed to be beefed up years ago, they've sat on their hands.


O'Gorman is an out and out c*nt who is worsening the situation by issuing his braindead come to Ireland tweets, then dumping these economic migrants in rural and working class communities.

Then they are labelling anyone critical of this disastrous policy or protesting about their community carrying the can as racist.

Perhaps this latest poll will shake them to their senses and they might finally act on this issue. Im not holding my breath.

Well if SF / IRA now have the balls to come out and say they feel we have enough migrants here already, I feel their poll numbers will shoot up, pardon the pun.

The SF angle is not to say we have no more room left but to use the situation to slate the govt, and in fairness the situation is a mess but
politicians should have the courage to say what their policy is.

They are already slating the Government for not meeting their agreed climate targets despite S.F. not having detailed climate policies themselves.

Populism has to conflict with reality at some stage and it is usually right after an election.

Her duality here is that at some stage she and her party could well be part of "The Government" and will get a quick dose of reality and all that anger directed at her directly after over promising simple solutions to complex problems like the refugee crisis.

From what i caught of her interview she said all those seeking protection here should be looked after, but also said people are entitled
to be concerned and should be consulted by the govt, so basically covered both bases,

This "consulted" word sounds businesslike but it makes no sense in reality during a "crisis".

If those refugees claimed asylum are deemed legally satisfactorily then she just supports the status quo.
