Immigration Thread

Make crime illegal man seems to think that a Jeffery Leo may be behind the scenes in this.
Tbf I always thought Delehanty was a clown with his make crime illegal but he is doing some quality work on these IPas scams, fair play to him. Funny how RTE won’t cover it but if it was nursing homes we would have 2 or 3 prime time specials.
Needs to stay away from Eddie Hobbs if he wants to be taken seriously.

Hes doing some sterling digging tbf.

The sheer amount of shady characters being awarded IPAS contracts points to something more untoward than your bog standard departmental incompetence

I haven’t seen it yet but I will watch it today out of curiosity.

He may or may not have some valid points, regardless there is nothing he can say that would make me vote for a man of his character to be the president of Ireland for 2 reasons.

1.) He’s a despicable pig of a man.

2.) The president of Ireland has little to no actual power so even if he wanted to make changes to immigration policies he couldn’t.

Just because he highlights obvious flaws with our current government isn’t reason enough to ignore the fact he’s a sexual predator and a coke addict among other charming characteristics.

If Jimmy Savile told me the pot holes in Cork are a disgrace I’d agree with him doesn’t mean I’d vote for him in the local elections
There's a fair chance they'd be fix'd if we went to him airing our grievances.

What could he possibly do to match Higgins going along to a holocaust commemoration event (in spite of every Irish Jewish group publicly pleading with him not to) and to use this stage to start berating them about Gaza.
He more than matched Higgins when he called for buildings in Dublin to be evaporated at the height of some of the most serious public order the State has seen, all the while cosying up to his less than reputable narco-crim friends in the Middle-East who, in a painfully ironic way, have done more damage to Ireland and Dublin in particular than any wave of immigration.
Or Higgins wishing the incoming Iranian president the best of luck in his endeavours as the regime executes record numbers of political prisoners this year

I'll tell you one thing I'd go for a pint with McGregor over that horrible little c*nt any day of the week.
Just make sure you caress his hideous narcissistic ego by drinking his whisky or he may let the hands loose like he did to a pensioner who had the temerity to refuse the offer.

The rare aul times, wha! Up-ow-da!

Whatever m8.

Higgins has done real and actual damage to our global reputation.

I wouldn't be wasting my time getting wound up about hypothetical scenarios involving a candidate who has little chance of even getting a nomination

I couldn’t give a shite about McGregor. I’m not a fan of his.

This is about the points he’s made about how our country is being damaged. Our culture is being eroded in front of our eyes and it takes an MMA fighter to have the balls to stand up and say it.

Challenge his comments. Is he right or wrong in your view? What can be done about it? Why are people being called racist for asking those questions?

Which bits in particular? And who is eroding it?

If you're talking about Gaelic culture then I'm afraid to be the bearer of bad news, but that particular capall has bolted long ago.

If you're referring to a perceived simple life we led a few decades ago, then that has more to do with new generations of natives rejecting it and opting for a more ambitious/busier lifestyles(for better or for worse) that don't revolve around spending days in smokey pubs, saucing away the day ducking the boss or the dole inspector.

If you feel that our streets are getting darker and you're equating being Irish with being white, then that would be the old ray-cism Ted! I don't remember our culture being under threat of erosion when thousands of lads and lassies came over from the East back in the late 90's and beyond.

Now, for balance, do I feel that there should be an onus on new arrivals(to any host nation)to adapt to the local status quo? Absolutely, hard to enforce it but definitely should encourage. Should any new arrivals seeking/been granted sanctuary here commit crimes? Process over. Rescind any privileges. Deport!

You got me, Dougal.

I’m just an old bitter racist.
