yeah, i've semi ironically applauded teams scoring against newcastle when we were 3 or 4 up.
i've also applauded teams who scored against newcastle when we were playing terribly badly and deserved to lose. this happened more than once during the relegation season. it would have been angry applause rather than genuine appreciation though.

Tbh I personally cant understand why anybody would cheer when their team is losing.
Poor Lozzy , predicts a few winning bets and now he's Jimmy Magee
Hypothetical scenario.
Everton are after securing 4th, it's final day of the season, Newcastle are fifth, a point ahead of Liverpool who are in sixth.
Liverpool are cruising away to Stoke (lol I know) and Everton are home to Newcastle. It's 0-0, late on, Moyes is playing some fringe players.
Newcastle score late on. Do any Everton fans cheer?
