Just found on twitter from Matt Thomas (whoever he is)
QPR fans at the match celebrating City's winner!!!!

Bizarre I know

why is it bizarre? they knew they were safe and obviously want city to win more than united like most of the football world.

Cheering a goal being scored against your own team is bizarre

if you had a team for more than a few months you'd know

I think it's a bit strange but i can't imagine living in the small time mentality of hating someone else more than liking your own team

Shoot me now!

:lol!:

I didn't celebrate a few goals from Ireland in 2002 WC for reasons outlined before

Defo didn't jump around celebrating concessions even though i had vowed not to support them during that tournament

trying to think of more examples but it's tricky

or any kind of score? depending on the sport

I'm wondering

would love to hear context or stories

Yes. Ireland were playing Samoa a few years ago at Landowne and were hammering them, Samoa got a try, Irish fans cheered because they didn't give up.

Also applaud a try if its been well executed

QPR were safe. they knew that.

then it came down to who they'd rather win the league. it was city. get over it.
