Gurriers - "Come And See"

Thought Gurriers were outstanding, I expected they would be from what I had seen on YouTube and socials. Last gig of a busy tour and they gave it 100. Great to see them in such a small space and I think the album is fantastic.

They'll be back next year hopefully but Cyprus Avenue more likely destination for size I'd imagine. Seem to have a fair few festivals booked in already for 2025 so big year ahead one would hope.

They used to have two guitarists though, right?
Yeah, and still do. I just wonder if they have anything else in them. They are getting so many oppurtunities. Helps to be cool I suppose. I saw them at that showcase thing in Cyprus, they were dismal, yet the crowd went wild for the "...bass" song. A novelty b-side at best.

They only had one guitarist and were a 4-piece in Coughlan's for definite.

That "My... Played The Bass" track is fucking terrible. As is the "Schmokin' Fags With You" one which is sung in faux-Duuuh-blin' wha'? accent.

Route one nothingness.

they're gonna be bigger than jesus, mark my words

:)

Excellent gig, other than missing chunk of it, due to it starting so late, which was a right balls. I echo Crispy's thoughts on there being a few twats present. Not locals, I think. I'm all for having a bit a jump. And did for a bit myself. But it's a absolute no no to be throwing yourself around the place with no consideration to others that aren't taking part.

Gurriers sold out their gig in Dublin just on pre-sale alone. That's absolutely mental. Fair play to them. They've announced a second night now.

I got tickets for Cyprus Avenue in the pre-sale earlier. General on-sale is Friday.
