Gdansk

Was trying to book a direct flight from Cork to Krakow but have Centralwings pulled out of Cork? I can fly to Katowice and travel from there to Krakow but would rather not. Anyone ever been to Gdansk? Good hotels to stay? Always had the impression that it was a cold, windy city. It would be the 1st week of November.

was there for 4 days, grand spot, we went to sopot one night, its like a big town on the waterfront and a good size strip with bars/shopping/restaurants,

the city is nice, part of it is really old historic a few irish pubs there, and part is really new big department stores, found it safe, good value and i was surprised how modern it was

not sure about hotels, we got some doss house in the old town that was fine
