The Francophone African countries are rebelling against French rule, Burkino Faso, Mali and Niger along with Gabon all throwing out the French and other Europeans and Americans. This comes on the back of decades of the French controlling the Franc currency of 14 African countries and gold and uranium sold to France from Francophone Afrique. Well they have had enough for years they fought against the Jihadists that terrorised these countries but to no avail.

With French being forced to leave the pro Western ECOWAS is threatening to intervene like so many invasions the people of Francophone Afrique don't want a war. Guinea and Chad also had coups too. Exciting times. Let us hope there will be no pro Western invasion. Thomas Sankara and Patrick Lumumba would be so proud both are not as familiar to us as Nelson Mandela. Je suis l'Afrique.

I wouldn’t criticise that too much tbh. Expecting African countries to be as anti Putin as US and Europe is just not realistic. Russia recently threatened war on South Africa if they acted on the international arrest warrant for Putin.

When did they do that? But anyway this a good time for Francafrique, the ECOWAS has had cold feet so much planned intervention is off. Great to see this for these republics.
