I'm sure a lot of it in Ireland is also driven by Russian social media bots. You see those users on twitter forwarding links and replying to hundreds of comments in a short time and it just pollutes people's minds.

Norway has the highest living standard per capita just because Ireland has vastly increased employment is of no kudos a large amount of those employed are below the living wage. Ireland has vast untapped energy resources which have never been exploited due to underdevelopment

Where exactly are these huge oil and gas reserves as international oil and gas exploration companies have been surveying the seabed for 40+ years now?

Income inequality decreased over the past 20 years and is at the lowest level on record, thanks to high taxation on workers & generous income support for those who need it. Ireland is a more equal country than most EU nations, and have the most redistributive tax regime amongst all those in the OECD.
