Pairc Uí Paisley just wouldn't have the same ring to it.A loyalist wrote to the belfast telegraph recently objecting to the redevelopment, He said if it was built the GAA would name
it after a dead republican,
I think UEFA also want fully covered stadiums. The time to properly consider the possibility for international tournaments at PUC, was before it was rebuilt. It would be amazing but would simply installing seats in the terraces be enough ?
No comprehensive mass transport system. No PartyI think UEFA also want fully covered stadiums. The time to properly consider the possibility for international tournaments at PUC, was before it was rebuilt.
If it was good enough for Prince, it's good enough for me.Pairc Uí Paisley just wouldn't have the same ring to it.
Only a much scaled down version now though. It's still outrageous that any of our taxes should be thrown into it. That said, the locals didn't want it there, which I found surprising seeing that the Army Council were fully on board with it.It wont bother the GAA one bit that the stadium has missed out on the euros, The endgame was to get the stadium rebuilt as a GAA venue
with as little cost to the organisation as possible, That will happen ,
The CCB was never interested in international football tournies, too many regs. They were never going to not have a terrace and deffo no going to cover it.I think UEFA also want fully covered stadiums. They can of course do as they please. It's their stadium. But spending 100 million on stadium(30 million of which was funded by the tax payer), catering for one sport, in a small provisional city, is so stupid. But we are where we are.The CCB was never interested in international football tournies, too many regs. They were never going to not have a terrace and deffo no going to cover it.
