Euro 28

Hillary Benn has rightly refused to commit any money towards the project until they get the full picture cost wise,
He also said the executive got over 1.5 billion this week and they should use some of this to finance the project,

Casement park back in the news, SF demanding the british cover the cost, No way should the GAA get away without increasing their stake
substantially,

Big protest in Belfast yesterday demanding British government pay the extra money for casement park, not one of the speakers called on the gaa to increase their contribution,

The project should be scrapped in its entirety. Attendances in Ulster don’t justify another stadium.
I have no issue with a rebuild but the gaa are contributing 15m only, Irish government have pledged 50m, ironically it would have been built years ago except for local residents objecting,

Unfortunately the cost of these projects has become extortionate and the experience of PUiC is a lesson, this stadium won’t be possible without huge debt or state aid. I think they’ll have to redesign to lower spec or wait until construction costs come down.

It means if two of England, Wales and Scotland reach the finals, then the Boys in Green are guaranteed to be there, regardless of how they fare in qualification

Assuming England are certs to qualify surely to Scots or Welsh will do us a favour
