I have no issue with a rebuild but the gaa are contributing 15m only, Irish government have pledged 50m, ironically it would have been built years ago except for local residents objecting,

Unfortunately the cost of these projects has become extortionate and the experience of PUiC is a lesson, this stadium won’t be possible without huge debt or state aid. I think they’ll have to redesign to lower spec or wait until construction costs come down.

Ireland get Euros boost as UEFA confirms host places

The Republic of Ireland's Euro 2028 hopes have been boosted after UEFA confirmed places at the tournament will be reserved for the two best-ranked host nations who don't automatically qualify.

It means if two of England, Wales and Scotland reach the finals, then the Boys in Green are guaranteed to be there, regardless of how they fare in qualification

Assuming England are certs to qualify surely to Scots or Welsh will do us a favour
