In hindsight I reckon the bad teachers just hadn't got the man management skills to explain what was needed,
Plus likes of Roche simply couldn't or wouldn't explain anything

He actually sniggered as I made a hames of it,
I'd no confidence whatsoever after that,
Went from a decent maths pupil to a F one .
I actually hated going in to his class,

I met Declan Davis aka Daffy in town last year. Had a good chat with him.Very nice man. He remembered me too after all these years…
I wonder is Cotter still around??

Strange thing is Decky and Cotter were in Secondary School together couldn’t get to more opposites on the psychiatric scale. One time I met another class mate of theirs at a match who was a priest home on a visit from the projects of LA. He told me I have met some basket cases in my day but none of them hold a candle to JP Cotter.
