Sorry lads, this looked much better on my phone before I posted it!

Timmy Wilk not playing is a really strange one. He looked busy when he came on against Tipperary.

Last year he was going great (MOTM v Clare in Ennis) and then at the drop of a hat didn't feature for the Munster and AI finals.

Yes. But you’d expect that inside the camp the answer is probably much clearer.

That's some statement to make about young lads, ego's and stuff. Kinda personal isn't it. It's no wonder lads give up sports when fellas attack them anonymously. If you've nothing good to say about them, then say nothing. It's even worse when it's from their on parish ffs.
Take no notice.. he is just one of the smarts wum on here from Limerick and Clare..
We had a limerick fella on here the other day telling us how much limerick people respected Cork hurling even though we are shit.. some of the lads fell for it too

Totally agree! However I believe the management think because Wilk is so versatile they can bring him on and employ him where they see a weakness during the game. I don't agree with this philosophy as I would rather see Wilk lay down a marker using his athleticism and physicality from the start of the game. I thought it was a good idea to play Wilk corner-back earlier in the year as Darragh O'Sullivan is not a man marker or physical enough for the corner. He's a midfielder or centre-forward running at defences or also can be employed as a sweeper. There's also a question mark over Denis Cashman's pace and hurling and I would have preferred to see Oliver McAdoo and Timmy Wilk either side of Kevin Lyons.

Oran O'Regan can count himself unlucky to be dropped as I would have just moved him to wing-back or further up-field.

Ben Walsh and David Cremin can count themselves lucky to be both starting but hopefully they take fire tomorrow night.

I thought Hugh O'Connor looked good last Friday night but in what was a timid affair. He is quite big and can hurl but he didn't stand out aggressively in that game. I don't think he's played with Cork hurlers since he was 14 or 15.

Best of luck to Ben O'Connor and his charges tomorrow night. Up the Rebels!

Was he not played all the way up as a man marker?
