1.7 members of the u20 team sat an exam in Thurles before the game,maybe be a few Tipp lads as well.
2.On coaching AFAIK Jack o Connor never played inter county with Kerry.
Throw in Paul Kinnerk, Sean Boylan, Eugene McGee and Cyril Farrell into that list of successful GAA coaches/managers who didn't play intercounty.Just 2 comments on this forum over the last few days.

He played for Mayo and I think won All Ireland minor & U21s with them. As a manager he won an All Ireland U21 with Mayo and was Mayo senior manager when we beat them in the All Ireland final in 1989.Did John o Mahony play intercounty.?
