Cork U20 Footballers 2025

Cork football is in a bad place but the game itself is in a worse place.
How that ref was appointed for intercounty beats all.
The man hasn't a clue and some of the frees he gave Tipp were laughable especially the tap over he gave after a Cork back rolled to ball to a Tipp lad instead of handing it to him. How effing stupid is that rule. Jim Gavin and Fitzmaurice take a bow.

Does anybody know his name? It wasn't given on the website.

Thought midfield combination of Clifford and Gillespie did well…..won the mid field battle….no doubt Sheedy made a difference when he came on.

Are both cork and Kerry guaranteed to go through to the all Ireland phase or just the winner?
I think it’s just the winners into the last 4.

Based on tonight that will be Kerry. Tipp were physical and game but didn’t have much football but they were really well set up by the management and all played to the same tune.

Cork, on the other hand, had better footballers but hadn’t a notion what to do with the ball most of the time, constantly turning it over while the attack was slowed down. Sheedy’s introduction combined with the referee making some questionable decisions is what bailed Cork out tonight.

Wouldn’t have seen much in the way of senior prospects based on tonight but they get another game to show themselves in a better light against Kerry in a knockout game and hopefully will do so. It’s up to management to facilitate a much better performance level.

Thought that was a really abject display largely by Cork and I would agree with those blaming management more than players. There’s some fine players in the team and they are capable of much better than they are showing.

Plenty more I could say but will leave it until after the Munster final.
