Limericks development system is too focussed on small numbers
Big focus on getting patterns and systems into a small group of players which is highly effective at younger ages and its starting to cost them at minor and 20 with a narrower selection available as lads fall away

He rewarded lads all night for running into opponents but didnt like big hits at all to stop runners. Himself and Dowlings style made a nonsense of the game

Nope, absolutely rotten stuff from them. You could count on one hand the amount of strike passes hit into the full forward line. It boggles the mind that someone can believe that that style of play is a good idea

I hope he does. Dowling is a smug smartass and so far his tenure in management has been p!ss poor. Interestingly after 2 rounds of the underage Munster championships Limerick are yet to win a game.
Indeed the famed Limerick academy that Anthony Daly likes to rave about hasn't won an underage All Ireland since 2017.

As the years move on its looking more and more like Limericks success has been built on a generational group of players (albeit given the financial muscle to be the very best version of themselves) rather then any far reaching magical academy churning out legend after legend.
