God ya, pre season friendlies in Musgrave Park.
They played Utd, Spurs, Leeds, even Swindon Town.
Great days.

Was at that game. Chris Houghton attacking and some cunt in the crowd shouts "Nigger" to a ripple of giggles, laughs and a few Jesus Christs! Poor form to say the least.

Liverpool played an Ireland XI there in 1986. Trevor Brooking played 2 home games for Cork City there around 85-86. One of the games was against Galway United, if my memory serves me well.

I remember coventry city playing at bishopstown but I'm sure the celtic match was at musgrave Park. I could be wrong I know but I have a memory of guys selling liam brady scarfs outside the tory top .

They played Celtic at Bishopstown AND Musgrave Park over the space of a couple of years
Played Chelsea at Bishopstown and a few of the Chelsea players went out in the city that night and were involved in a horrific car accident. Le Saux and Eddie Newton were 2 of those involved.
