Cork Hurlers - Part 2

Some of our support is so fickle you'll probably be able to pick some up.

Lads on here talking about replacing half the team and lacing into the manager after 1 effing game.

Oh and they'll tell you it's not just about the one game, it's about last year, and the year before, and the management being clueless, about the years of hurt, 20 years now etc etc
Cos the anger has got to be justified right?
And they'll denigrate, dismiss and dispose of lads who are putting in cruel hours and in some cases ruining their bodies for the cause of playing for Cork.

And yes we know nobody is forcing them to play, but they do it year in and out for eff all in the end most years, and that's a hell of a lot harder and more draining than sitting on your arse in the stand and being down because your team lost a bloody game.
Everyone appreciates the effort involved but " Cruel Hours" its not a Chinese sweatshop...

Fuck me this is some rubbish, this isn’t 1 game, this is season 2 with the same bullshit, players getting selected on historical record. The whole
Ground new Twomey would be off at half time over anyone else - what does that point to? A rotten culture, sack the debutant, it’s like taking off the corner forward in football when he doesn’t get ball.
We know at this stage who can defend and who can’t, first ball straight down the middle on a half back who can’t compete in the air, Soho’s familiar, bringing on a sub in the 72nd minute of injury time ffs, starting a forward line without pace again a team who you new at least would run the ball hard….so many excuses and as for it being some ‘cruel’ torture to play with cork, they ask for it and love it and fair play to them for the training it’s the absolute minimum, but there is no point if it’s the same mistakes and same lack of nous and aggression, they are the best supported team in the country and have been for decades without success at this stage, time
For the players especially the older ones to start paying it back by at least matching the opposition work rate and aggression

Monday evening blues.
In 6 days time on the 28th of fuckin April Cork could be out of the hurling championship.
And in 2 years would have won just 1 out of 6 championship matches!
We have lost the know how to win a senior all Ireland. We don't have any manager in Cork who is capable of turning things around so my top picks for next manager to bring in and turn things around for next year are: 1 Davy Fitz. 2 Anthony Daly. 3 Sambo McNaughton 4. Dan Shanahan 5 Mickey Harte (great success with Tyrone and Louth and football skills are transferable e.g fly goalie).

That’s hilarious in fairness 😂

Just regarding Twomey, I was thinking he didn’t look right fitness wise (which raises the question of why he actually started).

Thought he made a few runs at different stages that he looked to be struggling after big time and didn’t look comfortable, might have been different on the telly but thought he wasn’t looking comfortable from a very early stage.

Though we all know that other forwards could have easily gone at half time or earlier.

Big week ahead, Clare will be raging favourites given the hype, and rightly so, but we got within a point of them in Ennis last year and they’ve shown they can panic at times and crumble (Limerick’s 3 goals, square balls aside, were largely down to Clare).

Got to get the team right, whatever that may be.
