Cork Hurlers - Part 2

Jack Leahy would certainly be more deserving of a place on the 45 than Jack Cahalane who was only put on the hurling panel to prize him away from the footballers.
Barrs will most likely have 4 of the 6 forwards this year. The lads are well rested and ready to go… Us plus Hoggie and Harnedy for the 1st round.. Depending on how Hoggie and Harnedy go I could see Bucks getting in by the All Ireland.
Some serious impact subs too.
Jack Leahy is promising for the future I agree..

One of the two or three Barrs players that you claimed shouldn't be there 2 weeks ago?
Exactly, can't fathom the logic in bringing them in, great honest lads but not at IC level, only saw Leahy in 2 games in pairc last season and he impressed me, UL obviously think he's no slouch either when he can start for Fitzgibbon favourites.

Jack Leahy has a great future ahead. A year or 2 of Fitz cup is exactly whats required to continue his development and get physically ready for IC. A player really has to be playing well consistently at Fitz level to make competitive county panels.

How many All Ireland medals have they?
Whenever we run out in the clubhouse we melt down medals to make tea spoons
By all means, be proud of your club and great history.

Jack Leahy is a Dungourney man, won MOTM playing for Imokilly in last years county final. It was a fantastic year for him playing top hurling. I fail to see how his development would have been better if playing with the barrs?

He could book holidays for the business end of championship this year, all over before the end of August though you could see the Barrs back in the mix next year.

I'd be more of the believe that it's a pity Whitechurch don't move to Imokilly division like at U20 & below so that Mullins could play for Imokilly and develop his hurling.
