Christy Ring was only 5 feet 5 or 6. Hayes would be nearly a foot taller and more technically proficient. Rings BMI wasn’t good, he was a bit tubby, whereas Kyle Hayes wouldn’t be out of place in the Olympics. Hayes would eat Ring without salt and I’d be a big fan of Christy. It would be like a Senior hurler up against a junior B.

Pointless to compare player sizes across decades. The average population height and size has significantly increased from Ring time to Now.

Ring was so technically gifted, I would argue, he would have looked even better now and scored more, as opposition aren't allowed to flake him.
