Karma for Soundman having had no NCT done.I remember you telling me you got a puncture on your bike in 1962 on the way home from thurles and a Tipp man helped you out.

Disappointed to hear this as it smacks of small man mentality from Christy Ring. Jimmy Barry Murphy was the essence of a proper hurler and gentleman. Too many players let themselves down with their behaviour. We need more role models in the game not anicdotes of petty behaviour like this.To be fair there's good and bad where e'er you go, and most KK are knowledgeable and have the titles to back up their arrogance (Clare take note) but I'm told that Ringy despised them and sometimes used even come back through Kilkenny when returning home with All Irelands
To be fair, I think most on here make fairly rational comments e.g. 'Fitzgibbon could do so much damage at half forward' and a tiny minority (often 1) make the extreme comment e.g. 'Fitz is not a midfielder and never was'.Two months ago, 90% of Cork supporters identified Joyce as a nailed on centerback for the next 5+ years. Close to that would have identified him as Cork’s best player. That population was devastated to hear he was hurt prior to the Limerick game.
Downey comes in and does a great job filling in and now it seems like 90% of posters here are shipping Joyce to the bench or midfield where he has never played for Cork. Talk about prisoners of the moment! I’d say a lot of the same people said Coleman can’t play 7, and Hayes wasn’t up to IC standard and Horgan and Harnedy were finished, and Fitzgibbon was not a midfielder and Ryan was lost on the line. Sheesh.
How many have you met over in Spain over the last 20 years?
So your view is based on late 70s and early 80s? Fair enough
A few but from 1978 in Ireland onwards I met loads!
Soundman heard it from one of his many pals in the pub, so you may not want to take it as the gospel.Disappointed to hear this as it smacks of small man mentality from Christy Ring. And you usually love him cranky...He wasn’t great and hasn’t been all year in my opinion. Barrett and Harnedy doing so well has probably masked it a bit. He did get a good score on Sunday though.
He’s a ball winner, with a huge physical presence and work ethic, something we have in short supply. As long as he continues to kick lumps out of the opposition, he’ll do for me.Watched the game last night surprised nobody mentioned how poor Dalton was the game seemed to pass him by.
Spot on. His presence alone. He will be critical for the bigger challenges ahead especially the Limerick rematchHe’s a ball winner, with a huge physical presence and work ethic, something we have in short supply. As long as he continues to kick lumps out of the opposition, he’ll do for me.
