Blame Cahalane for that one. His left hook on Enda Gormley off the ball escaped Howard but the crowd saw it. That bit of scutting cost us the match. Howard was wrong in sending off Davis but .................

Those were heady days for Cork football, back in 1993, when we were contesting all Ireland finals. Nowadays, we struggle to stay in division 2 and to even compete for Sam. Such a fall from Grace……

I get what you mean but in an odd coincidence the 1993 season ended with Cork in division 2 of the league and being beaten in Croke Park by Derry by 3 points, which is pretty much exactly how the season finished 30 years later in 2023!

Rory Maguire will miss Cork's remaining two Allianz Football league games

Maguire was a first half withdrawal during the win over Kildare on Sunday week last because of a hamstring injury.

Skipping ahead a bit here but Goin by my calculations cork would have to finish in 5th place this year in league to be safe for champ.Clare will get to Munster Final so that takes 1 spot.Kildare who will prob be a division 3 team and westmeath could get to leinster Final louth only team to stop them on that side of draw and Dowm could get to ulster final armagh only good team on there side of draw.So clare would push 1 of the division 2 teams down to Tailtean cup which would be team 6th from Division so to be safe we need to get 5th spot in league finish above Kildare,Fermanagh and louth.
