I'm telling you of a real, practical problem encountered In Whitegate. There's a massive volume of tanker truck traffic down there, amongst the busiest roads in the country for that type of traffic. It's totally unsuitable road for what they've done with it.

Are some cycle lanes ill thought out? Of course they are because this is Ireland, the country of half arsed measures where common sense frequently has no part in policy implementation.
It’s not perfect but it’s now much quicker for people travelling up the M8 from the N40, East on the N25 from the M8 and indeed up the M8 from the N25 in both directions. The tunnel is still an issue at peak times going west in the morning and east in the evening because it’s a bottle neck and always has been.How have the upgrades to the Dunkettle Roundabout worked out lads?
