A bad day for the Cork pub punter. The Cork pub scene is a lot poorer as a result.
I know this has its own thread in the music forum but I feel it deserves its own thread in the langers considering it was the scene of a Proc Up(and Rebel Rabble )

The set up is 3 tiered.... Owner - lease owner - management. Once one part of the equation is taken out the set up will collapse.
It just so happens the same owner and lease owner were in both the star and realt dearg with different management.
One of the common denominators has since pulled. The other is still trading fantastically well in the city.

Glad I got to have a piss up in both over the last couple of weeks as this really came out of the blue in the last few days, very sad news.
