Aer Lingus Seating?

Bit of advice needed lads. Four of us flying on Monday with Aer Lingus, all carry on luggage. We haven't booked seats together, when we scan our passports at the machine for boarding cards will the machine seat us together or randomly?

One of the group is a nervous flyer and he doesn't want to be separated from us on the plane.

Any advice?

Pre-check in online.

You can pick your seats when you check in on line or at a machine.

up the front gets off the plane quicker but down the back has statistically much higher survival ratrs in the event of a crash.

It gives you a seat automatically but before one of the last option before you print it off, click 'Change Seat'.
Depending how early ye are there before your flight, you may or may not get seats together but that's how you change it.
