50th Anniversary of Internment

The British Army didn't want it and warned strongly against it. Most of his Cabinet were against it but Faulkner was a proper sectarian bigot and gave the order anyway.

During the previous months the UVF were randomly kidnapping, torturing and murdering Catholics purely because of their religion and yet not one Protestant - whether in the UVF or not - was lifted.

It's rumoured that Jarry and Marty and their fellow psychopaths in SF/IRA were creaming their pants as a stream of young Catholics were queueing up to join them.

If they did not want it, they got over that reservation fairly quickly, they applied themselves with relish, to include not only interment, but torture and murder aswell.

Rumoured in revision, because the bull headed unionist politicians could not see or did not want to see the results of alienating an entire community.

If the state had been run on democratic grounds, there is a good possibility the IRA would not have been supported by the people,

"If" is a small word with a big meaning.

It's worth remembering that there are sectarian bigots on both sides still in power in Norn Iron. That's why nothing practical can be achieved in Stormont.

There probably are , But the Unionist/Loyalists had the sectarian bigotry down to a fine art long before any nationalists. The state was a sectarian state run by Unionists for the benefit of Unionists.

And there probably would have been no need of the the IRA as we can see since the peace process that there has been more progress made without the gun. The only ones doing it now are just common criminals and drug dealers using the U.I idea as a front.
