I heard theyre paying 20k for the right to hold the glitterball trophy to spruce up their trophy cabinet as it was gathering dust lately. I heard from a separate source that 20k is going towards the new manager to prowl the sidelines in an unbuttoned shirt to increase attendance figures.

Perhaps this could be where the 40k figure is coming from?

Jesus The Town that never rared a fool is really not living up to its name. Macroom simply dont have the players at the moment nor will for the forseable. Plenty good lads involved with Macroom underage now.and eventually getting there act together but will take a decade to get it hack together. If they are paying 40k to maintain there p.intermediatte status then its an awful shame they arent putting the money to better use with developing there underage even more. They have been playing U21 c the last 6 or 7 years without doing a thing in it, they have underage players in the town opting to play with Clondrohid rather than Macroom and Clondrohid have there own problems which shows the levels Macroom have gone to. What happened there trainer from Kerry from last year?
