The Official Liverpool Thread - Part 2

A superb performance that was only short of a winner. If Diaz could finish we’d have won with a bit to spare. Did everything but score in the second half but Doku did strike the inside of the post too, let’s not forget.

A great game infairness. Two sides just going toe to toe. Now let’s discuss that Doku tackle on Mac at the end. How didn’t the ref get sent to the screen? Even Neville said it was a pen.

Fuck Neville, he’ll say that when it’s not given to stir shit.

If Oliver gave that then the VAR review wouldn’t overrule it.

It’s a free kick anywhere else on the pitch and would have been worth it for Pep’s “Love ok the Spectrum” video audition but fuck it, it is what it is and they need to drive on.

We can’t change it but looked a pen to pretty much everyone and it’s fine to say it now because we’d have taken a draw beforehand but that could be a huge moment come May.

But overall you have to admire the way we went about business today. I think we started without 5 starters really and should have beaten City really, despite going behind. Real quality in our play at times. VVD and Mac making the whole thing tick.

But it might prove to be a chance missed really.
