Youghal has a fantastic beach and heritage and the long awaited greenway should be a huge boost and do for Youghal what it did for Dungarvan.Loads of dereliction there but lots of positives too and the beach is class. It's what coastal towns have over every inland one.
Corks inland towns (Mallow, Charleville, Kanturk, Midleton, Mitchelstown & Fermoy) are mostly just backward semi-rural hellholes and thankfully almost all by-passed.
West and South Cork has great scenery, villages, towns and beaches but it still has the strange mystery zone of Dunmanway and Grimoleague to avoid.
We now do not even have to visit Macroom ever again.
If we only had a proper North ring road/by-pass now we could avoid all the bonfires, crime and the favelas of the Northside.
