Clonakilty

Loads of dereliction there but lots of positives too and the beach is class. It's what coastal towns have over every inland one.
Youghal has a fantastic beach and heritage and the long awaited greenway should be a huge boost and do for Youghal what it did for Dungarvan.

Corks inland towns (Mallow, Charleville, Kanturk, Midleton, Mitchelstown & Fermoy) are mostly just backward semi-rural hellholes and thankfully almost all by-passed.

West and South Cork has great scenery, villages, towns and beaches but it still has the strange mystery zone of Dunmanway and Grimoleague to avoid.

We now do not even have to visit Macroom ever again.

If we only had a proper North ring road/by-pass now we could avoid all the bonfires, crime and the favelas of the Northside.

Yeah, drove the new macaroon bypass recently.
It’s a blessing.

I was in Youghal yesterday, had dinner in the Quays. The place was absolutely hopping but when you step outside Youghal is an absolute ghost town.

So much potential there but the town is just being left to die.

Of course when it is fully complete we will soon have more Kerry people here trying to figure out how to uses escalators, public transport and cutlery etc.

Everything has its downsides.

And with Macroom now bypassed it'll probably be Cork City now before those kirry animals first see people in shoes
