The Official PROC Restaurant review thread.

Bastion are fucked m8.

A large number of Cork Beo readers have commented on Facebook to say they're never going to eat there after this.

And Cork Beo readers are very discerning types who frequently dine in Michelin Star restaurants, so that's going to have a massive impact on Bastion's business.

Reach media and Joe O'Shea provide a quality news product.

Some people say its brainless trash and 90% clickbait but what do they know.

The terms are there when you make the booking and give them your credit card details.

Cancel within the agreed timeframe or get caught for the price of the meal. It really is that simple.

Definitely a genuine one there.

Trash like Corkbeo 'reporting' bullshit TripAdvisor reviews are a scourge on business.

It's pretty clear on their site and you don't need to book to see their cancellation policy.

"Thank you for making your reservation at Bastion. We offer an eight course tasting menu only. In the event that the booking is not honoured in whole or in part, or is cancelled by you with less than 72 hours notice, a cancellation fee of full menu price per person not attending will be charged to the card provided."

Cork Beo should apologize to The Bastion for not printing this in their "story".

Reach PLC obviously only trawled the hysterical echo sewer occupied by the more “colourful” members of society known as “Twitter.”

It’s all for the clicks.

🤔
72 hours notice (3 days) is unreasonable and should be 24 hrs imo!

A few of us went to Isaacs on McCurtain Street last night. Staff were excellent imho. Despite the place being quite busy, and the tables almost on top of each other, the staff were friendly and attentive and there wasn't an interminable amount of time waiting for the food or bill either. Top class.
BUT, the food was meh and the prices were we thought saucy. Couple of bottles of house wine at 28 Euro each was so so but mediocre mains were about 25€ each (steaks were I think 32 for 10 oz sirloin and 35 for 8 oz fillet), even the deserts were 7.50 each. It's been a while since we all went out for a meal together but the five of us agreed for the prices charged the food was almost bland. Even the brie starter which used be one of my favourites in there back in the day was disappointing. 😔

Staff 10/10
Food Quality. 5/10
Value for money. 2/10

Just imho

Used go there regularly enough but the last time was in there, was far too rushed, the food came out almost instantly.

Think we had 3 courses in under 45 mins. Havn't been back since.
