Eating out is gone very dear.

19.90 for hake at lunchtime in Market Lane.

Thats a lot for a lunch dish.

15.90 for a pulled duck burger.

It's surely unsustainable, particularly once people start getting their bills this winter. There'll be less apatite to spend €20 on a piece of hake for lunch

I got a wrap from the deli. 5 euro, all wrap nearly fuck all filling.
I don't know why I didn't make my own wrap. I'll have to budget as wages were down due to my sickness there. I'll make all my own food this month and no take aways anyway

Yep, as are drink prices.

The Linen Weaver is going to be absolutely booming this winter I reckon. Free WiFi, loads of plug sockets, lots of cosy corners, and cheap food and drink.

I might just move in.

Or two pieces of hake in Lidl for a fiver.

Dublin is off the wall altogether.

Was staying over the other week and booked the 3 courses for 30 online as I knew Id pay 20 quid for a burger in the bar.


Ive zero sympathy for the hoteliers and their across the board price gouging.

Gregory Mike might just be moving back to Cork next summer so that's my regular eatery and watering hole sorted. Cheap and cheerful all the way.
