The Batman
Cracked and went to see it.
The shadow of the Nolan trilogy lies heavy on any new iteration of the caped crusader and this effort reaches nowhere near those heights.
Thats not to say it isn't a decent movie. Better than the cartoonish Burton movies and well ahead of the lamentable Affleck Bats.
Pattinson is a star, with good supporting turns from Serkis as Alfred and Jeffrey Wright is a superior Jim Gordon to Oldman's effort.
The villains are only so so, Turturro never really menaces as Falcone, Colin Farrell is more light relief than foe and Dano is off screen for most of the movie.
Its no Dark Knight or Batman Begins but Id have it on a par with the 3rd Nolan flick.
Worth a watch 7/10
