Most people have no idea what a days work actually means.
Most people spend 39 hours a week in their employment.

I don’t get to call it a day after 39 hours, but what’s wrong with any job that you can? It’s more than enough

Just don't give it to me in fucking winter like. The October one is the worst of the year. And don't make it a fixed date. I want it on a Monday or a Friday. Make Good Friday a bank holiday and we could take a mini holiday over Easter.
We don't have a Bank holiday in February, July, September and November. Of those I'd prefer July or second choice September.

I’m not remotely religious but we make Good Friday a bank holiday every year.. any excuse!

Good Friday used to be a holiday. Banks, offices, supermarkets, pubs and most small shops all closed.
When I worked in the financial service sector in Cork, Good Friday was always a day off.
What's the story now?
