Slightly pig headed approach from the stadium company (assuming led by O'Flynn) the reason this crashed. Reasons for refusual are fairly straightforward and would have been clear when they were putting the planning application together - that the issues weren't addressed is the applicants fault.

There's a lot of bitching about planning in this county, much of it fair, but a lot of the time it engineers/consultants being a bit useless at doing their due diligence on planning policy, or developers who are ignorant to it anyway.

All in all, it's another bit of bad publicity around the stadium and Cork GAA which should have been avoided.

disappointing to see the museum and coffee shop refused.

Unfortunately it’s all or nothing from a planning perspective. They can only approve or reject what is put forward. Hopefully they will see Sense and resubmit for everything but the car parks, museum and cafe would be class

Not sure what thread to put this into, so I'll stick it in here.

I watched online footage of a GAA club draw recently. The main prize was a car, and two decent cash prizes for 2nd/3rd. Great prizes tbf.

Something I noticed was that a priest drew the winning ticket, followed by two male gardai drawing the 2nd/3rd place prizes. I thought it looked like something out of 1950's Ireland.

There was no women in the recorded footage.

With the hundreds of boys/girls and men/women playing with the club, you'd really expect some involvement from young players both boys/girls.
