Cork u20 Hurling 2024

Isn't it amazing that so many get worth up about diving when there isn't a rule for same within the GAA and they can't see a problem with incompetent referees regarding dirty or cynical play for instance. If a rule over diving ever comes in they may call it the TANOTT rule. :ROFLMAO:

The Cork U20 hurling team to play Limerick in the O’Neills.com Munster championship round 3 at SuperValu Pairc Ui Chaoimh on Friday 26th April has been announced;

1. Paudie O’Sullivan- Fr. O’Neills
2. Denis Cashman – Bride Rovers
3. Kevin Lyons – Ballygarvan
4. Darragh O’Sullivan – Capt- Ballinhassig
5. James Dwyer- Ballincollig
6. Óran O’Regan- Erins Own
7. Cillian Tobin – Bride Rovers
8. Mikey Finn – Midleton
9. Ben Walsh – Killeagh
10. Diarmuid Healy – Lisgoold
11. Tadhg O’Connell – Ballincollig
12. William Buckley – St. Finbarrs
13. David Cremin – Midleton
14. Eoin O’Leary – Glen Rovers
15. Jack Leahy – Dungourney
16. Daniel O’Connell – Dromina
17. James O’Brien – Fermoy
18. Timmy Wilk – Cobh
19. Peter O’Shea – Erins Own
20. Ronan O’Connell – Bride Rovers
21. Johnny Galvin – Eire Óg
22. Adam O’Sullivan – Ballinhassig
23. Ross O’Sullivan – Na Piarsaigh
24. Barry Walsh – Killeagh

I suppose Buckley and O'Connell will swap positions as will Cremin and O'Leary. Playing Cremin in the corner makes no sense but he could also come out leaving a 2 man full-forward line of O'Leary and Leahy.

Good to see wilk back in from injury. He’s a strong addition as they move forward
Agreed. Big addition. Can see him getting some game time here with a view for the rest of the campaign and starting.

As an aside, heard something at the last game. Apparently not all well in the club. Few of their main lads sitting out the amount of weeks needed.

Wilks coming back into the setup is very exciting really think this team if they don’t win it out will be pinching themselves massively

I'm a bit worried that some of the lessons from the last day haven't been learned. In particular, do this team and bench have a plan B against opponents who push up hard when they try to run the ball out of defence, like Clare did last day out? Healy and perhaps Cremin are the main puck-out options - I would have liked a third option, and it is not obvious if there is anyone who could come in off the bench if they are struggling.

That said, to some extent the team can address how they struggled against Clare by sharper, faster hurling and better movement off the ball, and they are certainly capable of that. They should beat Limerick, then Tipp will be a sterner test.
