    Cork Hurlers - Part 2

Have to agree with you there cranky. Ive been going to a fortune of cork club games and for the last number of years the standard is shocking ( glorified intermediate) and the lack of physicality is also astonishing. This is bound to translate into the senior inter county team. Sadly, there’s no...

    Cork Hurlers - Part 2

I agree 100% about the stupidity of handpassing the ball through the lines but what’s the realistic alternative.??? Leave it in high to guys who can’t win it on the ground let alone in the air. And lastly I think we’re getting a bit carried away with this notion of playing the “young fellas”. A...

Teams can read us now like a book. Cork can’t go long so they have no choice but to go short - that makes it so easy to attack by setting the simplest of traps. On what planet does it make sense to hit a puck out to a guy 30 yards out on the sideline and then expect him to protect the ball, deal...

    Cork u20 Hurling 2024

Tipp exploited our inability to deal with high ball, knowing we couldn’t catch it so worst case scenario they could go after the breaking ball. This performance has been coming so I’m very disappointed with BOC for not anticipating this. The extra man v Clare and falling over the line against a...

    Cork u20 Hurling 2024

Massive surgery needed. Tipp had their homework done - they left it in at every opportunity. We did the opposite- as in previous games - tried to burrow our way through traffic constantly, particularly on the sideline . Ben o Connor hurling not working anymore. Obviously learned nothing from the...

    Cork u20 Hurling 2024

Another shocking half of hurling from this team. No CB and forwards are wasteful those you are in the game. Healy can’t get involved - O Connell can’t score - Cremin is anonymous. Can’t see us turning this around - Clare will be chumming at the bit to get another crack off us, probably in Limerick.

Tadhg o Connell having a nightmare too.

Get O Regan off for starters. Cost us 1-3 already

A change was needed at centre back and not doing it could prove costly. O Regan is a decent player but never a centre back.

    Cork Hurlers - Part 2

Our biggest challenge is our inability to produce a successful puck out strategy allied to a more consistent ball winning capability. If we could fix that, I think we would be in a far better place and it would give us a serious platform that we currently do not have. Surely this should be the...

    Cork Hurlers - Part 2

Clear body check but if O Donoghue had hit the ground as well he might have gotten away with it as a collision. Stand tall and macho while O Donnell was on the floor crying, was only going to end one way. Cuteness - something else we don’t have.

    Cork Hurlers - Part 2

It was a stupid and needless body check by SOD and even more so on a yellow card. Sadly for us, guys coming back from injury look far from ready for championship hurling - Robbie and Coleman in particular. But at the end of the day we simply can’t win enough ball to be able to consistently...

    Cork Hurlers - Part 2

What’s most worrying is that not only can’t we win or compete in the air but now it seems we can’t win or compete for ground ball either. Poor as Collins puck outs were I’d hate to be in his shoes looking out at guys who you know are most unlikely to win the ball. Puck outs are crucifying us at...

    Cork u20 Hurling 2024

Surgery needed at centre back, midfield centre forward and full forward. Too reliant on Healy and Leahy : Buckley completely man marked out of it tonight by the Lk number 4 who was outstanding.

    Cork u20 Hurling 2024

The most worrying thing of all from tonight is that this was a very average Lk team - in fact they were a poor team. Tipp will be a massive step up.
