Not wrong at all TAN. Playing the game within the 45s with a reliance on handpassing, bereft of teamwork and an inside goal threat, repeatedly hitting wides from play and frees, constantly fumbling the ball when in space and poor first touch also in space has sweet f**k all to do with gym work or S&C. It is down to not adhering to the bread and butter of the game and poor concentration leading to poor confidence and a lack of craft. You re wrong on that. Its very strange that you think you can play intercounty unless you are in peak physical condition. You cant.
Tipps conditioning was miles ahead of Corks tonight.
Some of the cork lads looked a little out of shape.
the talk was that the team was overly physical and the referee should have taken action on the day. There was no such conversation after the Munster final where the Clare team had the physicality to cope with that. Not wrong at all TAN. 7 of tonight's team won AI medals as starters last year and another player Ross O'Sullivan who was sub tonight also started in the AI final in 2023, that is 8 players, Fact! After defeating Offaly the talk was that the team were over physical and now these guys are a year older and stronger they lose to Tipp and it's a case of returning to the gym in May, absolute bull! Another fact is the majority of the Tipp players are a year younger.
Gym work won't select a proper team that comes down to the management. It was you who stated Cork need 1 or 2 more abrasive players, well they are there! Timmy Wilk is a powerhouse for his height and he hasn't got a start yet in 4 games, Barry Walsh is another powerhouse just out of minor and he gets his 1st start tonight. Ben Nyhan is 6'6" and he's not on the panel. Oran O'Regan never played in defence until this year and he's picked at 6 to lead the rearguard. Kevin Lyons played well at full-back in the previous games but he's taken out of there by the management for tonights game. Farcical decision making to say the least and gym work won't change a thing!
He was great...Tipp goalie made one good stop tooOne player I'd give a big thumbs up to this evening was O'Sullivan in goal, made a couple of quality saves.
He had the best team last year alright but he did pretty well to win a county championship with Midleton as well to be fair. Seems to be a good motivator and a lot of the players seem to like him.Myself and finbarrog could nearly have coached last years group to an all ireland they were that good
Spot on, but it’s probably even more important that our good youngsters get exposed to a different style of play that matches the seniors . In 2 or 3 years time they will be our seniors
Me too if the management swallow their pride and let the players cut loose
Christ you're everywhere commenting on Cork hurling. You re wrong on that. Its very strange that you think you can play intercounty unless you are in peak physical condition. You cant.
